FareShare needs to raise $3 million every year to cook meals for vulnerable Australians. Without it, we could not keep our ovens cooking, our freezers and cool rooms cold, our food rescue vans on the road and pay our wonderful chefs and staff.
FareShare can cook a free, nutritious meal for someone in need for just 75 cents. Every donation means more meals. We do not receive government funding towards our operations and rely on the generosity of Australians.
Your tax deductible donation will help us to collect surplus food from supermarkets, farmers and other food businesses. It will also pay for the cost of running our kitchens, and then distributing meals to front line charities.
In addition to the wonderful support of volunteers, we are fortunate to receive pro bono help from many businesses to cover basic costs such as maintenance of kitchen equipment, packaging and cleaning materials.
This lowers our overheads and enables us to spend your donations on what we do best – cooking meals for people in crisis.
