If you’d like to take part in a food drive for FareShare, please email Patrick Lanyon email@example.com. Our rescue vans will collect 100kg or more of priority ingredients from the Melbourne area.
Whether a school, business, community group or bunch of friends, you can run a food drive to help us source priority ingredients which are hard to acquire through normal food rescue channels. Right now we are looking for tinned tomatoes and pasta in particular.
Our chefs love pasta to accompany our sauces and help stretch a great meal a bit further. Dried, short form pasta, such as penne, is ideal. Tinned tomatoes are fantastic ingredients helping ensure we always have nutrition to add to our meals when fresh veggies are scarce.
We also need dried chickpeas and lentils to add to our nutritious ready-to-eat meals while flour is an essential ingredient for making pastry for our famous quiches and sausage rolls.
Please note fresh meat, vegetables, eggs and bread are not suitable for community food drives.

It’s a family affair! Yr 9 student Bella rallied classmates to raise 500 kg of rice & pasta for us to cook. Dad Justin drove from Phillip Island to FareShare where Bella’s proud grandmother Pam volunteers. What a fantastic contribution from a family & @newhavencollege for people doing it tough. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all round!! #pasta #rice #fooddrive #starstudent #givingback #hunger #volunteer #studentlife #phillipisland #melbourne #abbotsford
